We've all done dumb things from time to time, but to get a Darwin Award you must remove yourself from the gene pool via an "astounding misapplication of judgment".
What follows is probably the reason words like "fucktard" exist:
Playing With Volcanos
This guy obviously lived, but I'm sure there will be a next time for this idiot. Most of us learn by age 6 or so that fire is painful. I imagine being burned to death by pyroclastic flow or flaming lava meteors is not a particularly pleasant way to die.

My first thought about volcanoes has always been "stay away".
But I guess for him, he just doesn't care.
