We have a members only board, which I think allows guest posting now anyways, and this one.  Maybe we should combine them?

The members only board is still members only. iirc, I split them because we had a lot of new topics in a short time, pushing good ones pages deep in a matter of days.

That's not a problem now...

We could merge them, but I'd like to keep some things, like member photos, for members' eyes only.

hmm... not sure what to do really.  I never know whether I should be posting something funny in the regular board or the members only.  Aside from maybe the photos, what else do you think should be members eyes only?  and isn't the members section still guest viewable?

looking at the descriptions... I get the sense the members only board is almost like a word games board... maybe we should just designate it as such.

Right now it just seems like there's two general purpose boards... I don't want people to be confused.  People get upset when you move their thread, or feel intimidated that they're going to do something wrong.  I don't want people to feel that way.

Guests cannot view the members only board - I think that had mostly to do with pictures (members and otherwise), but since then the pix and flix board has been added, so there's not much reason now to have two seperate boards for general topics.

Ah, I remember the other reason I split them in the first place - hot topics that were likely to get a lot of replies constantly (like "Wouldja?") were moved there so that they wouldn't keep new topics off or low on the front page of the general board. That's not the case now, so I guess I'll merge the board topics back together in the next few days.

I've begun merging the Lounge topics with the General Board and Pix and Flix.

On an aside, the calender is not working quite right. Yesterday was Jessislut's b-day, but the front page showed it as an 'up and coming day'.

there is a new beta release of the software available:

with a mass topic mover, so you might want to wait on moving the topics, or maybe not.  Who knows if it works 100% yet, may be better to stick to the old way of doing it.

I'll work on upgrading the software in the next day or so.

The front page(s). I didn't check the "calender" link to see what happened there. I've changed my b-day to tomorrow to check it. .

A mass topic mover or merge boards option would save about 15 minutes of work. It might also lose or misplace every topic, too. I think there is only about 20 topics left to move anyway.

ok, I finished the merge of the Nasty Lounge with the General Discussion board tonight.  Unless the board gets really busy, I don't really see any need for more boards for awhile.


Maybe at some point, if people want to play games and there's more than a couple, we'll start a games board or something.
