Having PMs pop up like that other site is something I'm working on.

Some of you may have noticed your ranking went up from Virgin to first baser. That's because I dropped the post requirement from 50 to 25.,

With the exception of Virgin, the rank names are kinda lame. If you all want something better, start listing some ideas here.

Gender neutral names like "Porn Star" work best.

I'm thinking Porn Star would be the 5000-10000 post range.

Edit: Sex Machine could be 1000-5000, and Lover like 250. Some other decent names are Superfreak (maybe 25k posts?)
and Player (500). Just need a few ranks in between Virgin and Lover.

Seriously though - I think names related to porn are the best but it may be difficult to find gender neutral ones. Then there is also the idea of the Seven Deadly Sins - sloth, gluttony etc... but that could be far fetched too.

Or you could use sexual toys as some names: dildo, butt plug, lubricant, the list could go on! ;D

Sex Student and Amateur are pretty good ones between Virgin and Lover. Lover doesn't fit too well with the nasty scheme though. So far, I've got this:

Virgin - 0
First Timer - 25
Sex Student - 100
Amateur - 250
Player - 500
Sex Machine - 1000
Pro - 2500
Porn Star - 5000
Freak - 10000

Not bad eh? I've got some other titles past  10k, but since we don't have one member yet with 50 posts I don't think we'll need them for a while.

Then again, if some of us keep making 40 ppd, we may reach "Sick Fuck" status in no time.  ;D

I think that is an added mod feature, same with the pm pop up.
When I look through the "other" board, there aren't options for it that I can see so far, but I will keep looking to see if I can help. ;)

Eh, sorry about that. I shoulda known they weren't default names. Thanks for all the work so far. The board looks great, and SMF 2.0 is working nicely so far w/o any glitches.

When I try to reply to more than one person at the same time, I click 'insert quote' but nothing happens. So I have to go copy the first quote and then reply to the second quote, pasting the first one in the box. Any idea if this is a glitch or just something that needs to be changed in the settings?

No idea. I can multiple quote either by replying or replying with quote and insert extra quotes. Are you getting any written errors like "cannot complete action"?

I don't see any permissions not checked pertaining to quotes for regular members. IIRC, "insert quote" generates a temporary pop up. Try turning off your pop-up filter for a minute (or allow them for this site) and see if that works.

Maybe I have to restart the puter because of the flash error I ran yesterday - even though I don't think flash has anything to do with it.... :-\

looks to be a Javascript bug, Firefox is ok, but IE is hosed (as usual).  I've never used that "insert quote" thing before, I usually just use the quote button in the thread and reply to individual people that way.  That works fine with IE at the moment.

I'll have to ask that asshole who installed the software about it.  It's custom shit he wrote for the other board, so it may be awhile.  He told me this board gets to be a guinea pig for porting over the custom stuff he wrote for the other one, since most of it will need to be rewritten for the newer software.
